My husband suffers with severe gout attacks in his feet and ankles. He takes all the harsh chemical meds prescribed by his doctor. The problem is, that he has only one kidney and I am afraid that these meds will affect his kidney and limit its function.
what else can he do to prevent these attacks outside of prescription meds, and how can he help his kidney function?
Having one kidney plays a big factor with uric acid levels. Have you talked about diet with your husbands doctor? Certain foods and drinks can also affect uric acid levels.
